It has been identified that some schools may encounter an issue where they will receive an error when trying to ‘AutoSave’ which can make the software unstable and in some cases crash. We strongly advise that you upgrade immediately so you do not come across this issue and cause your students any unwanted stress.

What’s New/Fixed?
FIXED: When trying to AutoSave, if the DefaultSavePath becomes unavailable, it would revert to the local application data folder but in doing so returns an error “28/ExamWritePad”, causing the software to eventually become unstable and crash.
FIXED: WJEC/EDUQAS coversheets have been restored based on confirmation that they require them for none-scribes (JCQ Form 4) and scribes (JCQ Form 2). Make sure ‘PrintCoverSheet’ has been enabled in the ExamWritePadSettings.json file.
ADDED: New config option called “SpellCheck_IgnoreImproperCase” so that the spell check wont offer to capitalise names like “paris” or “australia” or suggest they are spelt incorrectly with the red underline.
ADDED: New config option called “SpellCheck_AutoCorrectEnabled” so that the spell check wont auto correct any slightly misspelt words like “yuor” changes to “your” or add punctuation like “wouldnt” changes to “wouldn’t”.
ADDED: Even more logging information has been added to help with any future issues.
Remember to backup your ExamWritePadSettings.json file and logo.png file before applying any upgrade/install, then afterwards replace both files and run the ExamWritePadSettings.json file in the ConFigEditorGUI app to allow it to add in any new config options.
