By default, Microsoft only makes Susan/Hazel available to third-party applications, if your system language is set to the United Kingdom. To make sure you have the correct regional options and languages installed you can follow the steps below, otherwise you can skip this step and proceed to the next.
Select the Start button, then select Settings > Time & Language > Region & Language.
Select Add a language and choose the language you want from the list. Only languages listed in the table below will have Text-to-Speech capabilities.
After the new language has been installed (this may take a few moments), select it in the Region & Language list, and then select Options.
Under Language options > Speech, select Download.
On the Language & region panel, just make sure you have selected English (United Kingdom) for the display language, country or region and regional format.
Restart your computer. The Text-to-Speech voices will be installed.
To add Microsoft George and Sarah to the list, you need to create and import the registry key below: Please note that these voices are only as good as the document and how it was composed, this is out of our hands and provided by the exam boards. ExamWritePad will provide you with the facility to read aloud but it is down to each establishment to find which solution works best for them.
